Addressing Sustainability

As a designer, Lemet is committed to reducing waste and minimizing the environmental impact of the fashion industry. She achieves this by using sustainable materials, eco-friendly production methods, and designing clothing that is versatile and long-lasting.

One of Lemet’s key strategies for reducing waste is to use upcycled or recycled materials in her designs. She has worked with a variety of sustainable materials, including organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel, a fabric made from sustainably harvested trees. Lemet also uses deadstock and vintage fabrics, which reduces waste and gives new life to materials that might otherwise go unused.

In addition to using sustainable materials, Lemet also designs clothing that is meant to be worn and loved for years to come. She believes that by creating versatile pieces that can be styled in a variety of ways, consumers are more likely to keep them in their wardrobe for longer. This approach helps to reduce waste and promote a more sustainable approach to fashion.

Lemet also employs eco-friendly production methods in her designs. She works with local manufacturers who use renewable energy and environmentally-friendly dyes and chemicals. By working with responsible manufacturers, Lemet is able to ensure that her designs have a minimal environmental impact.
